Minor Characters has Landed!
In summer last year we joined East India Youth, The Lone Taxidermist and a handful of other artists to work on a commission for the Liverpool International Music Festival.
The brief was simple: Come up with an original composition inspired by a minor character.
An epic list was drawn up, from which De Selby of Flann O’Brien’s The Third Policeman was eventually chosen, and the band got to work writing Lux Mundi.
Big props, as ever, must go to John Tatlock, who engineered the track during a delightful day out at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios. John also mixed and mastered the whole project, which has now been released on The Quietus’ Phonographic Corporation label.
